Pride in Luton Programme - Saturday 25th June 2022

Outdoor Stage, Hat District

Asifa Lahour will compare thoughout the day and will be joined by a number of incredible speakers and performers. 


1pm  Pride in Luton opens with a few speeches and welcomes. Performance from Homoprady dance troop. 

1:30pm Singer-Songwriter Sofia 

2pm  Upcoming pop star Smashby, and Trans Activist Paula Collins.

2.30pm Next Generation Youth Theatre 

3pm San Marino Eurovision Finalist Aaron Sibley 

3.30pm Jamie & Band & speaker Claire Davis

4pm Speaker Stewart Carr

4:30pm Asifa Lahore 

5.30pm Luton Icon and Union J superstar Jaymi Hensley & speaker Rosie Brighouse

Factory Floor, Hat Factory Arts Centre

1pm to 6pm


A range of community stalls offering information and support for the LGBTQ+ community.


  • Bedfordshire Police - Hate Crime and recruitment unit for Beds Police 
  • Disability Resource Centre - offering advice and guidance for LGBTQ+ disabled people.
  • Girl Guiding Luton - activites for younger people who identify as female.
  •  LGBT Beds - offering support and activities for LGBTQ+ community in Bedfordshire 
  • Luton Council Adoption and Fostering team - advice on those looking to start the adoption or fostering process
  • Luton Sexual Health Team - info on keeping safe between the sheets
  •  National Education Union - the Uk's largest teaching union 
  • Northampton Outlaws RFC - Gay and inclusive rugby team.
  • Outdoor Lads - An outdoor activity group for Gay, Bi and Trans Men.  
  • Recovery College - mental health support 


In the cafe:

  • Formy Books - inclusive story book stall 
  • Total Wellbeing - all round health advice 


Studio 1, Hat Factory Arts Centre

Throughout the day "Are you Proud?" will be screened. 


Are you Proud? charts the LGBTQ+ movements momentous journey charting the joys and divisions toward equality. Celebrating the community’s greatest achievements, the film calls attention to the fights both past and present while asking tough questions about the future. 


4.15pm Inclusive storytime with Mama G. 

Britian's Got Talent 2022 Semi- Finalist Mama G will be telling inclusive fairytales and stories for familes. 

Beacon Lounge, Hat Factory Arts Centre

1pm - 5pm


A series of Arts and Crafts workshops run by UK Carnival Arts and Mary Hearn. 


So pop along, make a rainbow wand or a rainbow bird hat!

Youth Zone, Hat Works

Open till 6pm 


A special youth zone for 13-18 year olds to meet with peers, take part in activities and seek advice.



Street Food village, Guildford Street

Food stalls to tickle every taste bud.

Pride in Luton Official After Party

Hat Factory Arts Centre (strictly +18 only)

7pm - 11:30pm 

  

Asifa Lahore will be playing the best pride party anthems on the Factory Floor. 

 

  Basement Bar 

“Watt DJ” will be playing Pop Punk/Emo and Alternative Music throughout the night in the basement, starting at 7pm!


Novustory will be performing in the basement bar as part of Basement Live: June. Set commencing at 9.45pm.


They will be supported by Kill, The Icon, a dance-punk trio singing about the dark side of your Monday morning commute to work.
