HOURS: 30 hours per week (over 4-5 days
SALARY: £31,200 rising by 5% in year 2 if objectives met.

Pride in Luton is excited to be embarking on the next stage of their work as a charity supporting the LGBTIQ+ community in Luton and beyond.
Thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, the charity is in the position to appoint a new Programme Manager on a three-year fixed term contract (with potential to extend) to drive forward the charity as it aims to improve the lives of the LGBTIQ+ community.
Pride in Luton aims to contribute to the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and/or sex characteristics by advancing education and awareness raising on all aspects of the issues and challenges affecting the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and / or queer and LGBTIQ+ people, their families and children. It aims to cultivate equality, diversity and inclusion by fostering education and understanding between people from diverse cultural, economic, religious and racial and ethnic backgrounds.
Each year it will stage and promote inclusive LGBTIQ+ focused events, amongst them an annual LGBTIQ+ festival. To do this Pride in Luton partners with voluntary, public and private sector organisations to develop and maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the charity. As a charity, through recreational activities and ongoing support and services it aims reduce isolation and hardship of LGBTIQ+ individuals, families and communities.
The role will lead the operational day to day delivery of the charity, whilst supporting the board of trustees with future strategic direction, enabling our community to self-organise and providing the best and most inclusive events in Luton. The role will be varied and will require someone who can work independently and can proactively make things happen.
